I'm a farm-raised Southerner with a bit too much education who got married for the first time at 41 and started tracking my culinary adventures. I'm probably the only person in the United States with a Ph.D. in English who knows how to churn butter and raised chickens for a 4-H project. (Some of them actually survived.) In this blog, every week or two, I share a lifetime of knowledge about food and cooking, with occasional comments on the bizarre and often beautiful journey of living with someone else.
Posting will be sporadic through the end of the summer, as we re-settle in our beloved Atlanta with our three cats, who are terribly disappointed that there is no sushi farm near their new home.

zoom 34 to 145....enhance....stop.
I was forced to listen to that song about 8 times every day at the pool where I was a lifeguard in 1986. Sigh.
Not sure what I'm supposed to see on the zoom.
LOL!!!! He does have nice legs, though.
